One of the indicators in my line of work where I know I am doing a good job is when families from past weddings enjoyed my work so much that they have no hesitation in seeking me out to help capture other family members’ weddings.
This was recently the case when I was invited to capture the Hindu wedding ceremony for Thea and Greg. Quite a few years ago now I captured Thea’s sister Kamaya’s amazing Cloudland wedding, so it was good to catch up with everyone again at Thea & Greg’s Hindu ceremony.
This was actually the Australian leg of a Greek & Indian wedding spectacular. Thea and Greg had recently had a big fat Greek wedding in Greg’s home country of Greece, and now was Thea’s families turn for the Indian wedding traditions.
The picturesque Cherbon Waters at Burbank was the chosen location for Thea and Greg’s Indian wedding ceremony. The colourful garden setting was the perfect complement to all the colour and fun of the Hindu ceremony & festivities.
The ceremony with all of it’s wonderful traditions took place in the covered gazebo overlooking the water and bushland beyond.
We then spent the rest of the afternoon walking the grounds and taking in the last of the Autumn sun before making our way to the nearby marquee for the rest of the festivities and dancing to kick-off. The rest of the night was full of fun, laughter and lots of great Greek and Indian dancing!
