Maleny Retreat Wedding | Keisha + Lucas
Maleny Retreat wedding of Keisha & Lucas.
2020 has been a really tough year for everyone. We have all had to make sacrifices and put plans on hold and learn to adapt. This is especially so for many of my couples who had planned on having their dream weddings this year. A lot have had to reschedule to next year to ensure they can have all the people they love there.
But there have been a few brave couples who have soldiered on with their 2020 wedding plans but have adpated them to suit the current situation.
One such wedding was the recent Maleny wedding of Keisha and Lucas. Initially, their plan for their day was to be a Brisbane city wedding with lots of friends and family in attendance. But with the current crisis affecting things like it is, they adapted and simplified their day.
They rejigged their wedding day to be a small intimate wedding with just their immediate family, also moving it all to a country setting of the hinterland of Maleny.
They chose the lovely Maleny Retreat. a beautiful property nestled on the escarpment outside of Maleny, with an amazing view of the Glass House mountains and the ocean beyond.
Their ceremony took place in front of that amazing view, under a beautiful blue winters day sky.
Following the formalities we explored the Maleny Retreat property. Taking in the amazing scenery and country property vibe. It was such a fun and relaxing afternoon.
The winter-time sunset didn’t disappoint either. Setting spectacularly over the country fields.
A day like that sure makes me miss photographing more. But I have hope that we will all get back to normal real soon and there will be many more great wedding days like this to come!
