It was back to one of my favourite wedding venues in Brisbane recently when I had the pleasure of photographing the wedding of Nicole and Damien at Riverlife.

It’s always such a relaxing atmosphere when I am there. It must be the great city view outlook and the calmness of being right on the banks of the Brisbane river.

And people don’t get much more relaxed and laid back as Nicole and Damien, this lovely couple just had that kind of aura around them the whole afternoon. They just felt so comfortable and relaxed around each other and you could tell they were truly enjoying their big day. They also chose to keep their wedding to just their really close friends and family. So it was a lot of fun seeing capturing their cheeky flowergirls and pageboy nephews and nieces. 🙂

The fun filled ceremony took place on the grass, with the Brisbane river flowing gently in the background. Afterwards the guests made their way down to Riverlife for cocktail hour while the couple and I sneaked off for a few quick photos in the nearby parkland. Then, back to Riverlife for the start of the reception fun at their Riverfront Deck. Situated right on the river (in fact right over the river!) this deck has such a spectacular view of the city, especially as the sun sets and the city lights start to twinkle)
