Top Wedding venues outside of Brisbane
Below are my Recommendations for the best wedding Ceremony venues in Southeast qLD.
A great way to make your wedding even more memorable for you and your guests is to think outside the box and consider having your wedding in a special location outside of the city.
There are some truly magical places in Southeast Queensland, that are not too far from Brisbane that will elevate your wedding from nice to amazing!
I’ve compiled a list of the most breathtaking wedding venues in Southeast Queensland, ranging from Lavendar surrounded open air chapels to grand country estates.
What are the Best Sunshine Coast Wedding Venues?
Queensland’s Sunshine Coast region is packed full of amazing natural beauty and is home to some excellent wedding venues.
Spicers Clovelly Estate – Montville
One of my favourite venues on the sunshine coast is the French inspired Spicers Clovelly Estate.
Situated high on the lush rolling hills of Montville. This estate has a great history of combining great food (thanks to the two hatted Long Apron Restaurant) and immaculate service. Two things that really make a wedding venue successful!
The property itself features a French style homestead and nearby cottages, with lots of room for guests to stay. The tree lined winding avenue makes for a spectacular location spot for bridal party photos as does the rest of the amazing property.

Tiffany’s Maleny
Tiffany’s at Maleny is a gorgeous wedding venue perched on the mountainside with a panoramic and spectacular view of the Glass House Mountains.
When people think of Maleny this is often the view that they think of. Of the many weddings that I have photographed here I have noticed how spellbound the guests are at that view. The glass-backed chapel extenuates this view even during the ceremony as does the reception room. There are plenty of great photo locations nearby, such as the well-known One Tree Hill, but there are also some secret nearby places that I like to take my couples to.

MALENY RETREAT
Maleny Retreat also has those epic Glasshouse Mountain views that Maleny is famous for.
Set on over 100 acres of mountaintop fields. Maleny Retreat has a relaxing vibe, that you and your guests would appreciate. Ceremonies can be held with that amazing view as the background. Guests can then relax at cocktail hour watching the sunset paint the Glasshouse mountains with golden rays.
The retreat is a bit of a blank canvas, in that it allows couples to bring in their own vendors and decorators to really put your personal sense of style to your wedding. They also offer onsite accommodation which can make things very easy for your guests.
MALENY MANOR
One of the longest running and successful wedding venues on the sunshine coast is Maleny Manor. The hillside manor is tucked away in the Maleny hinterland and offers spectacular views of the countryside below all the way to the ocean.
Ceremonies take place in the Hilltop Pavilion which also shares those same amazing views as the Manor itself.
The grounds of the manor are immaculately maintained and provide so many great photographic opportunities that you could get most of your location photos there. Though most couples do make their way to the nearby One Tree Hill for that special glasshouse mountains view.

TWIN WATERS
For that resort style destination wedding feel it is hard to go past Twin Waters resort on the Sunshine Coast.
Positioned between the beach and a private lagoon, the resort offers that laid back beach vibe. The resort itself has lots to offer in regard to photo locations and the beach next door is also a popular destination for photos. Receptions can take place in a private Nordic Tipi or Lily’s on the Lagoon.
Toowoomba & Scenic Rim wedding options
The Toowoomba and Scenic Rim regions are fast becoming popular locations for stylish country/garden weddings.
Toowoomba, being on the plateau has a slightly more temperate climate compared to the humidity of Brisbane and has some amazing homesteads and venues on offer. While the Scenic Rim area has some of the best countryside that Queensland has to offer, perfect backdrops for a stylish wedding.
GABBINBAR HOMESTEAD
A popular venue choice by locals and destination wedding couples alike is Gabbinbar Homestead. This stately and beautifully restored homestead is set amongst acres of perfectly manicured gardens and features numerous ceremony options. Receptions are held inside the homestead in the elegant conservatory room.
Gabbinbar pride themselves on giving their brides the best experience possible and this shows clearly in how all wedding days run so well there. The grounds of Gabbinbar offer so many diverse backdrops for photos as well. And make for the perfect relaxed all in one wedding location with no need to leave the venue for additional photo locations.

This 12,000 acre cattle station / luxury retreat is the perfect spot for couples to celebrate their wedding day with close family and friends.
