Villa Botanica Wedding | Kimberley + Mark
Villa Botanica Wedding Photographer
I always jump at the opportunity to photograph weddings up at the beautiful Whitsundays region. The combination of warm sunny weather, crystal clear turquoise water & lush tropical greens really has a relaxing effect on me.
So I had been really looking forward to photographing the wedding of Kimberley and Mark for some time. They chose the totally amazing Villa Botanica for their ceremony and reception. This multi award winning venue has such an excellent reputation in the wedding industry. Nestled amongst 5 acres of gorgeous sea front land, this bali inspired mansion is full of amazing photo opportunities. It also held a sentimental attachment for Kimberley and Mark as Mark’s family had been involved in the creation of Villa Botanica’s famous Cactarium display.
The wedding day started with the girls getting ready in a beach house overlooking Airlie Beach. Kimberley wanted a relaxed start to the day with her family and that’s exactly what she got. Lots of fun little moments during the getting ready without any apparent wedding day nerves.
It was then off to Villa Botanica for the ceremony. Which took place under the wedding pavilion overlooking the Coral Sea.
Following the touching ceremony, while the guests were enjoying champagne and canapes on the deck, we explored the beautiful Villa Botanica grounds, a wedding photographer paradise. We had such a fun time and then made our way back for the reception.
More fun moments filled the evening festivities, lots of great speeches, great food and company. The night concluded with a sparkler exit sending Kimberley and Mark off to the start of their happily ever after..
