Preston Peak Wedding | Andrea and Mitchell

It is always a treat to head out of the city and into the gorgeous South East QLD countryside. I had just such an opportunity recently when I photographed the wedding of Andrea and Mitchell out at Toowoomba.

They chose the always serene and beautiful Preston Peak Winery as the venue for their wedding ceremony and reception. Nestled atop the Toowoomba range, Preston Peak winery has some of the best views you can get of the Lockyer valley far below. The perfect spot for Andrea and Mitchell to tie the knot.

Their touching ceremony was held under the old tree with that spectacular view as their backdrop. Lots of unique personal touches throughout, with Mitchell’s dad singing a song while they signed the register.

Following many hugs, kisses and a few champagnes, we then explored around the winery, finding wonderful pockets of light bathing the rugged landscape. Preston Peak is such a great place for wedding photos, with no need to travel outside of the venue. Every where you look were amazing backdrops.

It really was special to capture the strong bond that Andrea and Mitchell have. They are just so at ease and comfortable with each other (not to mention they are both beautiful inside and out)

It was then time to make our way to their reception and get the party really started. Lots of fantastic and funny speeches and Andrea and Mitchell wowed their guests with some awesome dance moves.
