Girraween National Park Wedding | Jo & Sam

I always love when I get the chance to capture different and unique weddings. And that is exactly what I got when I had the pleasure of photographing Jo and Sam’s recent wedding out at Girraween National Park.

Both Jo and Sam have a strong love, not just for each other but also for the outdoors and adventure!

The day started with Jo and her family getting ready at the lovely Girraween Environmental lodge. Each chalet was surrounded by nature, with spectacular views of the National park.

It was then time to start the adventure part of the day and hike up to the top of a nearby mountain that Jo and Sam had chosen to be their ceremony area. And it was a great choice too, high up with awesome views of the valley below and surrounded by some of Girraween’s famous epic sized rock formations.

Despite the challenge of the hike, they still managed, through some bush engineering and skill, to get Sam’s Grandfather and broken footed cousin up to the top 😉

The ceremony had a special feeling to it, full of lovely moments. The air also had the feeling of an oncoming storm, so they luckily got through the bulk of their ceremony before some cooling rain hit.

Luckily it did not last long or dampen the happy mood for this lovely couple and their family.

We then explored the National Park a bit more before hiking back down to their lovely laid-back reception back at the lodge.
