I always love when I get the opportunity to travel out to Toowoomba for a wedding. The fresh country air and clear blue skies always seems to lift my spirits and stir my creative mood. I equally love when that trip out to Toowoomba lands me at the always awesome Preston Peak Wines.

Preston Peak Wines and its stunning views was the backdrop that Catherine & Ben chose for their big day. Through my chats with Catherine and Ben I just knew their wedding would be the perfect fit for me. Their brief was for a chilled and relaxed wedding with a focus on enjoying the afternoon with their guests as much as possible. They didn’t want to be hours away from their guests getting posed bridal party photos. They wanted a more relaxed approach, to capture the feel and the fun of the day, which suited me to a T. I love to be as unobtrusive as possible at weddings and capture those fleeting little moments.

The ceremony under the shade of Preston Peak’s Wedding Tree was full of very touching and fun moments. You could just tell how in love Catherine and Ben really are.

Following some quick family photos, the relaxed afternoon continued with a few quick shots with the bridal party under the avenue of trees. Then we all blended back in with the guests for cocktail hour and lawn games. I quickly grabbed Catherine and Ben again for some last minute sunset shots and we also had an epic pink sky to enjoy too.

It was then back to the reception to get the party really started. Lots of great speeches, amazing food, copious espresso martinis and wicked dance moves ensued all night long.
